Volunteers Make Festival a Success
The 65th Annual Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival would not be possible without the hardworking volunteers who commit their time and energy to this prestigious juried show each year.
“The members of this committee are amazing – so many of them have been on the committee for years and now their children are on it so it makes for a really close group of people that are all passionate about making every years show the best one ever,” said Festival Chairman Laura English.
More than 100 volunteers, representing service clubs, chamber businesses and individuals participate in the event. “The success of the festival hinges on the dedication and extensive involvement of every committee that makes up the arts and crafts committee,” said Liz Roberts, Director of Tourism and Special Events for the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, “There’s no job that’s too small. Every part is important,” said Liz Thomson, Director of Tourism and Special Events for the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce.”
“They go above and beyond to showcase the Festival and Fairhope. Sounds cliché, but it couldn’t be done without them. It is an honor to work with and learn from them all,” said English.
